Registration
Non-English Speakers

From the 1st April 2004 patients can register with the NHS surgery of their choice in the area where they live.

Patients will be registered with the Surgery rather than with an individual GP in the practice, but still can have the freedom to see the GP of their choice in most instances. You will be given the option to express a preference either generally or related to a particular condition. Your preference will be recorded. We will endeavour to comply with any reasonable preferences, if we are unable to comply with your request you will be given an explanation.

All new patients registering with the practice are invited for an initial health screening assessment. This is a valuable check up as it can identify any potential problems, besides introducing you to the practice and to the services we can offer, which are applicable to you and your family. You will be asked to bring with you:

  • Medical card/Details of previous address
  • Any current medication you are taking, and
  • A urine sample

To see if you are within the practice catchment area see the catchment area map.
